Clean Criminal History
Misdemeanours are accepted on a case by case basis depending on age of the charge, what the charge is for and how many charges are on record.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Lying on your application will result in an automatic denial with no opportunity to reapply at a later time.
No gang affiliations.
Cousins encouraged to apply
Ability to work a minimum of 5 hours a week.
Application must be completed per the directions of each question.
Any application that does not meet the above standards must be rejected.
Before an interview can be scheduled, a background check must be run through the PD database. Once a clean background check and a completed application are on a file, an interview may be scheduled.
A completed application must be on file before an interview can be scheduled. The application contains the background check release statement that must be signed by the candidate before EMS may legally run their background. In the event of a hiring event, this process can be accelerated, but may not be skipped.
A completed interview form must be completed on each EMS member as of 01/01/2024. Members before that date may or may not have a completed application and/or interview. These individuals have all been reviewed and approved by the current EMS Command Team.

Medical Director:
Guides medical policies, supervises clinical staff, and ensures adherence to medical standards, playing a key leadership role in the Nodus EMS Team.
Assistant Medical Director:
Supports the medical director in overseeing clinical operations, implementing protocols, and ensuring quality patient care.
Administrator
Hospital
Doctor:
Diagnoses and treats medical conditions, coordinating patient care and providing expertise in various medical specialties.
Chief Nurse:
Oversees nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care.
Nurse:
Provides comprehensive patient care, including assessment, treatment, and coordination of medical interventions.
Paramedic/field
Advanced Paramedic:
Delivers advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care, including administering medications and performing complex interventions. Will oversee situations if the highest ranked paramedic on scene.
Paramedic:
Delivers pre-hospital emergency medical care, including administering medications and performing simple to moderate complexity interventions.
First Responder:
Provides immediate assistance and initial care at emergency scenes, prioritizing rapid response and basic life support.
Patient Care Technician:
Assists in basic patient care activities and supporting medical staff while they train. This role will be both in hospital as well as out in the field under the supervision of a paramedic+.

No vehicle - Must complete XX hours to be promoted to first responder.
Pillbox lobby should remain as clear and free of people as possible to ensure swift medical services. To achieve this:
Attend to individuals as quickly as possible.
Politely usher people out of the hospital once they are revived and in good health.
If there are individuals who will not leave the hospital once they are in good health, call PD to assist with the situation.
When there are ACTIVE EMS members in city:
PD will radio to EMS once in route to Pillbox Medical Centre
PD will use the garage located in the back of Pill.
An EMS team member will meet PD in the garage of Pill.
EMS Team members will triage medical care based on the below:
Law enforcement, DOJ, EMS, Fire
Any suspects or detained persons
Civilians
PD may drop off individuals seeking medical care through the main doors of Pill if:
Dropping off 2 or less individuals
They are not in police custody
When there are NO ACTIVE EMS members in city:
PD will follow their normal procedure of locking down Pillbox.
If PD does lock down Pill while EMS is active, submit a report in the EMS discord with:
body cam of the incident.
officers' names and badge/call number.
in-city IDs if possible.
Impounding Vehicles on Pill property
EMS has the ability to impound cars to ensure that the Pillbox area remains clear of abandoned vehicles.
Authorized Usage:
Social media may be used by the Nodus EMS Team for professional purposes, including sharing information that the community as a whole should know, recruitment information and engaging with the community. Any use of social media must adhere to Nodus EMS mission and values.
Employee Personal Social Media Use:
While employees are allowed to use social media, they should exercise caution as photos, tweets, videos, etc. that are posted to your personal social media can result in discipline up to and including termination. Please refrain from posting, liking or sharing anything illegal or questionable.
Emergency Communication:
In emergency situations, social media may be used as an additional communication channel to pass important information to the public.
All social media activities must adhere to HIPAA regulations. Personal health information (PHI) must not be disclosed, and discussions about specific patients should be avoided to ensure patient confidentiality.
Interactions with the Public:
Any employee who interacts with the general public through social media should do so professionally and respectfully. Responses to inquiries should be accurate and respectful.
