  • We never allow any sort of sexual/vulgar/racist types of shit talking, keep that out of Nodus.

  • Shit talking in city means you need to keep your shit talking to your character and his/her situations, you cannot bring in OOC topics to your arguments.

  • Attempting to hint at OOC topics is easily recognizable by staff and is guaranteed to result in punishment.

1.6 - OOC Usage:

  • Discord Changes:

  • We do not want to see shit talking in discord anymore. Especially gang gen chat. Keep that to In Character as you are much less restricted now.

  • Expect heavy punishments for not following these rules, from timeouts to bans.

  • You may not give out any in city information on out-of-city platforms.

  • Referring to other characters, whether they are your own or not, as “cousins”, “Alter egos”, or similar terms is strictly prohibited within our city.

  • Spamming a staff member's DMs about a ban or requesting help is not tolerated.

  • In order to maintain the flow of role-play we expect you to adapt and continue the scene despite there being scuffs\bugs going on in the scene. Do your best to work around the glitch\scuff and continue the scene.

  • You may not use information about someone OOC in-city at all.

Example: No mention of someone’s IRL job is allowed, or memories from another city of another character should be brought in here.

1.7 - Terrorism & Suicide RP:

- Both of these events are not allowed in our city and will result in a ban.

1.8 - Third Party Software:

  • Using discord or any other communication platform while in the city is strictly prohibited.

  • Players caught using files to gain a tactical advantage will be met with a ban. (e.g Flawless FOV).

1.9 - Green zones: _(Refer to discord for these zones)_:

- Green zones are “No Loitering” & “No Crime” areas.

- You may not steal a vehicle in these areas.

- You may not conduct any transactions or trades.

- You may not repeatedly shoot, tackle, punch, play loud music, scream, spit, initiate or any hostile role-play.

- Recycling, the Legal Fishing Pier and Chicken Butchering are green zones.

- All businesses are green zones unless they are gang-affiliated.

- You may not retreat into a green zone whilst being chased or under active initiation. This is classed as power-gaming.

- Publicly known events like races, community gatherings, etc. are automatic green zones.

2.0 - Vehicle Scamming / IRL Currency Trading:

- No private reselling of your assets, you must go through resales or the server owner in order to sell items. Failure to do so will result in a permanent ban.

- Downgrading someone's car is strictly prohibited.

- When conducting vehicle deals, you must be completely honest about the specifications and the information concerning your car.

2.1 - No Reason to Initiate (NRTI):

- You are not allowed to walk up to a player and initiate unless you have a valid role-play reason. Some reasons include: Seeing someone with a weapon out/committing an illegal activity. seeing someone at a drug location, finding a gang member near your MLO\turf, having pre-existing beef with a gang.

- Initiation on a person for a valid roleplay reason lasts for one scene.

Example,

If I am going to attack an opposing gang for selling drugs in my turf, once that scene is over, I can’t attack them again for that same previous reason unless they sell again. You must find a new valid role-play reason for each scene you construct in this city.

2.2 - RDM & Initiation:

- Random Death Match (RDM) is when someone is attacking another player/group without any story/roleplay/initiation - and this is not allowed.

- In order to have valid initiation (30 seconds), you must meet the following criteria:

- Be visible to the player.

- Have a visible weapon in your hands.

- No running in circles, must be standing face to face.

- Give a clear verbal demand whilst specifying who you are initiating on, either by pointing your weapon or describing the player's clothing.

- You must give someone a reasonable amount of time (15 seconds) to comply with your demands.

- If someone attempts to damage you repeatedly with a weapon or vehicle with malicious intent, you may shoot back & defend yourself without being prosecuted for RDM even if you weren’t initiated on.

- You will have instant 1 on 1 initiation on anyone lock picking your home (gang MLOs included)/vehicle or stealing your owned vehicle.

- Initiation for a single person is valid for 5 minutes after loss of sight. Initiation in a group is valid for 10 minutes after loss of sight. On a gang 15 minutes after loss of sight. Group members must be wearing the same gang identifiers\colours.

2.3 - VDM:

  • Vehicle Death Match (VDM), you may not use your vehicle as a weapon. Once you initiate on a person within a vehicle, you may attempt to disable their vehicle by ramming/pitting, but it must be realistic e.g a bike should not be VDM-ing a car.

2.4 - Fail & Low Quality Role-play:

  • /me while dead on your back.

  • Trash talking after being killed or killing someone.

  • Breaking character.

  • Emoting while dead or on your side.

  • Talking OOC. (refer to section 1.7)

  • Cop baiting, intentionally provoking or luring PD into a scenario without proper roleplay behind it. (Flying into prison, breaking people out, etc)

  • Refusing to respond or cooperate with EMS staff members.

  • Repeatedly shooting, punching, playing loud music, screaming, spitting, or any hostile RP on a downed body.

  • You are not allowed to leave someone in cuffs after a situation is over.

  • If the police bring you to the Government Centre in order to obtain your identification you must follow their instructions.

  • Trolling, grieving, causing discomfort to others on purpose with NITRP (No Intent to Roleplay) is frowned upon and is considered a rulebreak with a hefty punishment.

  • If someone takes a clothing item off you, you cannot wear it again for 24 hours. If it is gang clothing, you can put it on again after returning safely to the MLO.

  • Tackling in combat is considered Fail-RP. You are only meant to tackle someone in a gunfight as a last resort, meaning you have no other ways to inflict harm left. (Law Enforcement can still tackle in order to immobilize\arrest somebody, this more so pertains to tackling in the middle of a gunfight.)

  • Hitman role-play is allowed, with adequate reason to do so, beyond just a monetary transaction. Hitmen STILL need to initiate.

2.5 - Not Valuing Life & Fear Roleplay:

  • Not realistically fearing for your life when you are being threatened with weapons or severe harm.

  • Antagonizing gangs or armed individuals for character reasons is not allowed.

  • If you are outnumbered you must fear for your life.

  • If another player is standing directly behind you with a weapon pointed at your back. You cannot attempt to turn around and shoot.

2.6 - New Life Rule:

  • When downed on your side upon revival you can remember the events leading up to your death.

  • When double tapped (on your back), you must forget the events that led up to your death. You cannot use a body cam to remember the situation. (unless you have a physical body cam (clothing item) on your character)

  • You may NOT return to a scene if you are on your side or back, even if the scene is back at your MLO.

2.7 - Breaking Character:

  • You may not break character for any reason. This means OOC/Rulesplaining, unless in an active angel scene.

Examples of OOC:

  • “That's VDM/RDM buddy!”

  • “Nice initiation bud! That wasn’t 30 seconds!”

  • “Enjoy your ban”

2.8 - Meta-gaming:

  • The act of using outside knowledge in character that you would not know otherwise.

Examples:

  • Watching someone's stream.

  • Using any third party communication while in the city.

2.9 - Power Gaming:

  • Using unrealistic in game mechanics/ooc information to alter a situation to your advantage.

Examples:

  • Continuously being tackled and not giving up to police.

  • Being tased over and over again and never taking actual effect from the taser.

  • Talking on radio while cuffed or zip tied.

  • Cuffing someone from the front (must be behind them)

  • Using the take hostage command from the front & immediately killing them.

  • Unnecessarily escorting someone.

  • You may not give someone an item in game in order to learn their name.

  • Using the lumberjack axe and the hunting musket as weapons is not allowed, they are to be used for their intended work purpose only. Using it to injure someone is punishable.

3.0 - Talking while Downed:

  • THIS ONLY APPLIES TO GANGS, YOU MAY NOT DO ANY OF THE FOLLOWING TO CIVILIANS/POLICE

  • Dead Bodies:

  • You can now dance on bodies, record pictures and videos of dead bodies with your phones, and post it to twitter whilst talking shit in the video.

Police can use your footage/pictures as evidence if you are NOT WEARING A MASK to hide your identity. If you are, they can still use it as a reason to investigate, it generally won't hold up in court if that's the only evidence they have as it does not 100% confirm it is you at the scene/posting the video (as twitters can be hacked, phones stolen, etc).

  • You cannot:

  • Talk directly to the dead body as if they can hear you, this is report-able and will always result in punishment, any vocal communication must absolutely be directed towards a video audience.

  • Waste someone's time/stall a situation/revival/etc. If you want to take a video/picture it must be in a timely manner, if you are sitting around taking multiple videos/pictures and clearly only have the intention of wasting someone's time this is report-able.

  • You can record a video explaining things such as:

  • "Just killed this gang member, he pulled up on my turf and found out, AOD On Top, now I’ve gotta wipe this loser’s blood off my kutte.”

  • "This dude just came up and tried robbing me, he found out what Eighty Eight’s are all about!”

3.1 - Combat Logging/Storing:

  • You are not allowed to leave the server whilst in an active situation or initiation.

  • You must wait 15 minutes after the scene is over in order to pop your head. The scene must be relatively clear before you pop your head, if shots are still being exchanged and the scene is still active you may not F8.

  • Logging out to avoid an interaction or to prevent a scene from continuing is not allowed. For example; being in a shoot out and not wanting to die, getting caught by police, or getting robbed so you decide to log out.

  • You are not allowed to store items/weapons during an active situation to avoid being robbed. Putting your goods in a stash\apartment in the middle of an active scene is not allowed.

  • You may not go get a rubber glove mid scene, you must have the glove always on you before the scene starts. The only place where this is an exception is if someone pushes your Gang MLO, then you are allowed to grab a rubber glove from any stash connected to your physical MLO (No grabbing from stored vehicles, glove boxes, etc).

  • If however you crash, have a power outage, etc. Make sure to post in “Returning To Scene''.

3.2 - 100K or Die Mindset:

  • Nodus is a semi-serious RP server and we do not condone any sort of 100k or die type of roleplay. If your roleplay consists mostly of purely shooting > going to your next shootout > shooting, this is not the city for you. Toxic behaviours like this will be met with strong repercussions and punishments.

3.3 - Identifying Players Through Voice:

  • Players can only Identify other players through face and clothes. (Beards, hair, masks, hats, tattoos, features, etc.)

  • You CANNOT identify someone by their voice.

  • Criminals who do not change outfits, cars, habits, etc. can be identified and singled out.

  • Voice Changers are allowed but must be for roleplay means.

3.4 - Server Restart:

  • You may not engage in any illegal activity or shootouts 30 minutes before or 20 minutes after a restart.

  • Role-play should NEVER be stopped or become less serious before a restart; it should continue as normal.

  • In the event of an unscheduled server restart or server crash, you must wait for a period of 15 minutes before engaging in any criminal activities.

3.5 - Hostage Taking:

  • You may only hold a hostage for a maximum of 30 minutes.

  • You may not take a hostage from green zone areas.

  • You can not take a cop hostage unless there are at least 5 cops online. You are not allowed to cop-bait a LEO to kidnap one.

  • You are not allowed to use someone you know closely as a hostage e.g no gang members. Must be a civilian.

3.6 - Robbing:

  • You may NOT rob someone of their pet/penthouse key.

  • You may NOT kill someone who is being compliant: letting you rob them, unless they attempt to pull out a weapon.

  • You may NOT Pocket wipe someone.

Pocket wiping: You must leave someone with a phone.

You may NOT rob someone who is in a menu; clothing store/player market.

  • You may only rob items currently in someone's pockets

  • You may NOT demand a job, passwords, ownership of a car or house, money out of their bank.

3.7 - Criminal Activity:

  • Businesses are not to be attacked/initiated upon unless they are gang affiliated (Employees actively wearing gang colours [Flags, etc]). If there are customers you wish to initiate on, you must wait for them to depart.

  • Do not initiate on non-gang associated civilians unless they are aggressive to you.

  • Limits on criminal activity:

    • Store, House Robbery, ATMs, Fleeca, Jewelry = 5 criminals max

    • You cannot do consecutive robberies/heists. There is a 30 minute cool down

  • Gangs or Groups should always wear similar colours/outfits/gang clothing (if no gang gear is present) to denote that they are a group. _([except robbing stores, banks, etc]) (_When in scenes you must always wear your gang flag if you are a whitelisted gang.)

  • Body Camping: You may not hold bodies for an excessive amount of time.

(You must release bodies 10 minutes after the last death in a scene).

  • Prison transport rules: This is considered a major crime. Limited to 8 individuals. (Whitelisted Gangs ONLY) (Unless negotiated with PD)

  • Rule of 8: You may have up to 8 people during fights against gangs/groups/PD as well as Major Crimes; You must have an RP reason. (If you initiate on a group larger than 8 you are responsible for fighting all the people present at the scene.) (Whitelisted Gangs ONLY)

  • Motorcycles\Boats\Aircraft can only be used as a secondary vehicle for major crimes.

  • Rule of 16: You may have up to 16 people during fights\scenes at Drug Locations ONLY (Laboratories). (Even if you are allied with a gang, you may only have a total of 16 in between the both of you) (You may not return to scene if you dont have a full 16 in order to make up a total of 16 people or lives.) This does not apply to civilians, only whitelisted gang members.

  • Third-Partying: Involving yourself in a scene you were not originally a part of.

    • Valid: Your friends radio for help before the scene ends and you go to assist them (remember weapons should always be your last option)

    • Valid: You radio your friends during an active engagement with weapons

    • Invalid: Robbing a body that you did not kill

    • Invalid: Happening upon friends in battle and joining in

  • Body Dumping: Leaving a body somewhere that disallows EMS access. (inside of something. Includes; bushes, buildings) *

    • You may not drive someone to a different location after killing them.(2 Block Radius Limit)

3.7B - Airdrops:

  • Exiting the game is allowed at airdrops unless you are the individual who looted the airdrop. You must wait 15 minutes from when you die to F8 if you are the airdrop holder. Failing to stay in the game after looting the drop will result in a ban plus your gun and airdrop loot being taken. If you did not loot the airdrop you can f8 when you die as you cannot be robbed..

  • Robbing is NOT allowed, keep this in mind when you go to airdrop.

  • The latest you can wait to start participating in the airdrop is 10 minutes after it has landed. This is to prevent people from coming to the airdrop at the very end and killing the people who have been participating in it.

  • Being out of gang identifiers (Colours, Flag) is allowed, but the group you roll with must ALL have matching identifiers (Colours, Outfits, etc). (ONLY APPLIES TO AIRDROPS)

  • A maximum of 10 people are allowed at airdrop (Unless KOS or Oil Rig, unlimited numbers there). If you are over the number of 10 at an airdrop as a gang you will receive a strike.

  • No beef over airdrop. If you die at airdrop you should not be remembering who robbed you, who killed you, etc. Airdrops are meant to be a fun event where you go shoot and risk your gun in order to get a huge gain or risk losing your stuff, this should not be carried over to gang beef.

3.8 - Cop Fear:

  • Cop Fear is super important in our community to ensure the success of the city. Please keep this rule in mind as it can lead to disciplinary action including but not limited to temporary bans and furthermore.

  • Any scenes started with PD cannot be brought back to your gang HQ\MLO. Fleeing to your gang MLO whilst in a scene with the cops will be considered a rule-break and can be punishable by a ban. (You must wait at least 10 minutes after losing sight of PD to return to your HQ.)

  • It is important to understand when it is the right time to interfere in a police interaction that is happening. We believe that once a player is downed and/or taken into custody by law enforcement personnel you are considered to be in the custody of the law (this includes being taken to Pillbox by Law Enforcement as well). The scene and/or interaction that you were in that led up to that arrest is concluded at this time. Be mindful of how to approach interactions like this, you should not intervene and attack law enforcement to ensure the release of your associate and/or friend. If the player could not outrun the police, they need to take the L and move on.

  • Attacking officers at Pillbox can be considered a green zone violation and land you in serious trouble.

  • Some other great examples of cop fear and failing to do so could be:

    • Stopping at a traffic stop that a cop is conducting and asking them what they are doing.

    • Seeing a friend in custody, and running up to them going what’s going on officer or shooting them just because.

    • Police/Cop baiting to basically make the cops interact with you cause you are bored.

3.9 - Government Entities:

  • All players need to have some understanding and respect of law enforcement in the city. need to realistically treat them like they are the law.

  • Impersonation of any whitelisted job is strictly prohibited.

  • Any form of corruption within a whitelisted job will be met with a harsh punishment. Ex. Giving out PD guns, using whitelisted jobs to your advantage, stealing from evidence locker, stealing from EMS stash etc.

4.0 - Report/Support Tickets:

  • If you have a question or need any help that can not be answered by means of RP.

  • When needing compensation please make a support ticket., You must provide all proof (videos). We must see screenshots of your inventory and stash.

  • When you witness a rule break. Please submit as much evidence as possible.

  • The incident in question can be no longer than 1 day old, this is to stop people compiling clips etc instead of reporting rule breaks as they happen.

  • Any clip you are showing as proof must be MINIMUM 2 minutes long or risk your ticket being dismissed on the spot.

  • If you try to crop out your own infractions/close a report after you made one because you realized you made a mistake, your punishment will be more serious.

4.1 - Ban Appeal Tickets:

  • When you wish to prove yourself innocent. You may also ask for a reduction (must be on more than a 1 day ban).

  • Please provide as much evidence to prove your innocence as possible.

  • You may not use the excuse of another person's rule break to lessen or remove your ban.

  • Spoofing or other forms of ban evasion will be met with harsher punishment.

4.2 - Compliance with Staff:

  • We do not tolerate any disrespect towards any staff member - internally staff to staff, or player to staff.

  • DO NOT KILL STAFF during government sits!

  • You may not impersonate a member of Staff.

Gang Rules:

1.0 - Gang Caps/Limitations:

  • Whitelisted Gangs are limited to a 40 person maximum cap.

  • As a whitelisted gang you may only commit crime in a group of a maximum of 8. (5 for Minor Crimes.)

  • Acting as a gang when you are not whitelisted is not allowed. You must be an official gang in order to act like one.

  • Gangs are to follow the max capacity that is stated within this rule at all times, failure to do so may result in gang strikes or gang disbandment depending on the severity.

  • Gangs are allowed one official alliance and no more.

  • Any and every member of a gang MUST immediately be put onto the gang roster. This includes hang-arounds or anyone who is associated with your gang. If they will be fighting for you they must be on your roster.

1.1 Gang Impersonation:

  • Impersonation of other gangs is forbidden. You must wear your own gang’s clothing and identifiers(flags), not another gang’s, even if you “steal” it off them.

1.2 - Legal Job Taxing:

  • You may not take over and tax legal jobs.

  • You must give civilians a chance to also live in the city.

1.3 - Gang Mayhem:

  • A gang is allowed to mayhem you within a week of you leaving the gang. Them mayheming you means they are cutting all ties with you and you must forget all details\interactions\hideouts etc of the gang they left.

  • A gang mayhem must be done through roleplay means. This means acting out a scenario in which you cut ties with the person; for example, taking them to the dam and throwing them off, or any sort of roleplay-like scene.

  • Gangs can not start problems with mayhemed person for anything that happened previous to the mayhem.

1.4 - Gang Hopping:

  • When you leave a gang, a 10 day cool down will be applied before you can join another. Failure to abide by the 1.4 Rules will result in you speaking to gang management to further discuss your punishment.

  • It would not make sense to have two or more characters have beef with another one of your characters. Thus, only 1 gang or crew is allowed for all characters.

1.5 - Gang Disbandment:

  • SLT+ Have a right to disband a gang that have members breaking consistent rules, this means you will lose your Gang Name, Logo, Likeness, Colour. Be on your best behaviour.

  • Gang Strikes will be issued if your gang cannot keep it together, Gang Leads will be informed by SLT+ if a gang strike is issued due to rule breaks.

1.6 - Gang Wars:

  • For a gang war to be initiated, a gang war ticket must be made via Discord for a member of SLT+ to review and decide to approve/deny the war.

  • If you deny a gang war ticket you will be put on a 2-day green day, this means both gangs can NOT have any negative interactions with each other for a full 48hrs.

Requirements

  • Gang wars are started by only the leaders of a gang. In the case of a gang war, terms are set with SLT+ in a gang war ticket. This includes picking which rules are/aren't allowed like VDM, RDM, killing/robbing dead bodies, NLR. When terms are set, they are to be followed until the end of the gang war.

Boundaries/Limitations

  • Must have a clear and valid reason for declaring war against another gang

  • If we receive plenty of reports on individuals during a gang war, Staff will stop the war early.

  • Your gang may have a max of 40 people during a Gang War.

  • In a gang war, it is KOS unless stated otherwise in your main war ticket.

1.7 - Turf Rules:

  • If you see someone corner selling on turf that you own\want to take over, you must initiate on them following all initiation rules (ref 2.2). Simply going up to someone because they're selling on your turf and saying hands up or youre gonna die is not initiation enough. We will be looking for good roleplay to come out of this so be mindful of your poor interactions.

  • Turf fights can't be taken back to an MLO; they must remain street fights. No fleeing to an HQ.

  • Gang Fighting in TURFS will be 8v8 now.

1.7b - Supply Outpost Rules:

  • Once a war is initiated at the outpost, the zone will be considered KOS for both parties.

  • Once a war is initiated, you may not emote.

  • You may not use a roof inside or around zones

  • You may not use a Rubber Glove at a outpost.

  • You may not use vehicles/aircrafts in a zone to rotate or gain advantage.

  • You may not rob until all zone Attackers/Defenders are dead.

  • Failure to abide by these rules will result in punishments either individually or gang wide.

1.8 Gang\Business MLOs:

  • 1.0 Gang MLOs:

    • Main MLO (Where your Gang Boss Menu is located [Where you recruit gang members]): You may defend this area with any number of your own gang members. This is home base, you may be outside of it; you can push back against this threat until they have either been eliminated or they have fully retreated (Reach out on discord to Gang Management for your gang 2 block radius). (Anyone not in your gang that was there beforehand may defend themselves but no other group may assist beyond that). This is to create a home base advantage, pushing someone's home must only be done at your own risk. You may now flee to your home MLO to avoid confrontation and rely on your gang for backup BUT it may only be members of your own gang.

    • Example: SOA is at their MLO, there are 4 SOA members and 3 Syndicate members, if AOD pushes their MLO then SOA can have as many SOA members as they want join the fight but no more Syndicate members can join if SOA already has 8.

  • If 8 is complete no more allied gangs can show up.

  • Example 2: AOD attempts to initiate on 2 Cartel at legion square but they flee to their main MLO where there are 3 Wardawgs and 4 other Cartel, no additional Wardawgs can join but more Cartel can. However, Cartel cannot initiate on AOD and flee back to their main MLO in an attempt to lead them back to an ambush from more than just their own gang.

  • If your gang does not have 8 you may ask allied gangs to join to make up 8.

  • As many people as you want can push out from your home MLO but you may not chase them more than a 2 block radius.

  • You can initiate from your main MLO by pushing out with 8 people (around your MLO) if you are being pressed by or circled by an enemy

  • If it is random individuals you must ask them to leave and give them time to comply

  • Once initiation has begun the home base gang can put out in numbers over 8 (any allies must stick to defending)

  • 1.1 Business MLOs:

    • Business or other non main MLO territory: If initiated upon at your business anyone who is currently at this location may defend (no one else is to enter the vicinity of this engagement once you have your 8). You may only use the MLO, the roofs attached to the MLO, and the parking lot (if applicable). If you are going to push out from this allotted area only 8 of your members can engage, once they are downed no one else may leave.

  • If you are running back to a business (non main MLO) for assistance from your gang, you may only have up to 8 total members (from that specified gang including yourself) defending this area, absolutely no additional members may be in the area even if they were there to begin with.

  • You may initiate from a business if you are being circled or pressed but you should be attempting to get them to leave so as to not ruin your business.

  • Members can defend from the inside or the roofs attached to their business (property lines) if they are accessible by elevator and/or ladder.

  • Only 8 members may push out from the property lines (if they die no one can take their place)

Example: Wingstop has 9 BMF and 3 88s when 8 Firm members pull up and initiate with 2 members leaving their additional 6 on roofs across the street. 8 members of the original group of BMF/88s members may push out.
